An Akron classic! We got here before the line got long. The deli sandwiches are posted on the wall and they have a great selection of choices. The sandwiches are made right in front of you as you pass through the line. The deli guys are friendly and polite. The place is small but it has character. Akron sports, history, and events are represented on the walls. I ordered the "On The Road Again" which is tuna on toasted bread, coarse mustard, and red onion. Sandwiches are served with a dill pickles spear. My sandwich was tasty, flavorful, and any other adjectives you want to use to describe good. My wife had the "Old Bald Man", turkey , bacon, smoked gouda, onion and sun dried tomato on ciabatta bread. Also delicious. I am looking forward to my next visit.

This was my first time at the Diamond Deli last week, and I can honestly say the corned beef and pastrami were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Brett and Chad, the owners, are awesome, they truly made my first visit a fantastic experience. Brett, thank you for convincing me to add slaw and onion to the Stray Diamond sandwich it was incredible. The slice of carrot cake you shared was the perfect finish and it was truly the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for unbelievable deli sandwiches, sides, soup and a dessert that will blow you away, Diamond Deli is the place to go. Brett and Chad, you’ve earned a continuous customer!

DIAMOND DELI is the perfect name for this establishment because it is truly a GEM. The atmosphere is always genuinely welcoming. The food is phenomenal. I’m not easily impressed whatsoever or even a pastrami sandwich kinda girl but I’m not closed-minded so I’m willing to go outside of the box from time to time. The Stray Diamond sandwich is the ONE. It has all the right components for a top tier bite. I’m glad to be able to support such an outstanding local business and I look forward to dining in one day with a good novel nearby as I’m always in & out most days! Keep it up guys!
I’m fairly new to Diamond Deli. My good friends Autumn and Todd over at Akron Studio Rentals suggested this place for lunch one day and I decided to take them up on it. I came in during a pretty busy time of day for them. In my experience, if the line is long and nobody’s complaining, it’s usually a good sign that you wanna get in that line 😂. So I did! The guys on the staff are super cool, professional and welcoming. I immediately felt like I’ve known them forever. My first encounter was with Jack. I ordered an Amy’s sandwich and asked Brett to surprise me with a second one. And that he did! He introduced me to the Josh’s as the second option. Both of these sandwiches were absolutely incredible! Since then, I’ve been back several times and tried the LeBron’s, Brett’s, Cori’s, Mom’s and Marc’s. I’ve encountered Chad, Jack and one more I can’t remember his name, as well throughout those visits and just like Brett, they were all super cool guys. I highly recommend this place for any size group because no matter how small or large your satisfaction is guaranteed! It’s safe to say they’ve mastered the art of sandwich making! Diamond Deli is our reward for a long week at work. Their pastrami is out of this world. I flipped out when I noticed they serve their sandwiches on Cellone's breads. Every sandwich, soup, wrap, and salad (inclduing the broccoli and pasta variety) is made by hand and worth waiting all week for. Not only is their food delicious and high quality, but there's no beating their service. We have built up a great personal relationship with Chad and Brett, the two managers and co-owners, and the rest of the team. They know our order when we stop in. Brett will clue us in on what special Mac n Cheese he's cooking up only on Fridays. Chad is always happy to see us when he rings us out at the register and makes a point to wish us a great weekend when we leave. It always feels like a party when we stop by. They have good reason to have people lined up down the block. I hope to be a patron here long enough to get a sandwich named after me 👍

Absolutely! Hands down the best Reuben sandwich I have had since I remember when I was younger. The toast was absolutely perfectly crispy, plenty of meat. Just the perfect amount of everything. Now the matzo soup. Oh my gosh! The flavor of the chicken broth was so full and Hardy you can tell that. I think they grow their own chickens LOL 🙄🤣🤣❤️ If you never try this place, you don't know what you're missing. Looking forward to coming back to Akron, Ohio to try other sandwiches. With me. Traveling all over United States in the last 6 years I hit a home run in Akron, Ohio. Please never change your recipes and never shortchange yourself.
